U.S. Tariff Information

U.S. Customs, Duties, and Tariff Notice for Sensidel Customers

At Sensidel, we believe in being transparent about the costs that may apply when products are shipped across borders.

Sensidel is a Canadian-based small business. Orders shipped from Canada to addresses in the United States may be subject to customs duties, tariffs, taxes, brokerage fees, carrier fees, or other import-related charges.

These charges are not set by Sensidel. They may be determined by U.S. Customs, the applicable tariff classification, the value of the shipment, the country of origin of the goods, the shipping carrier, and/or other import-related rules.

Unless duties, taxes, or import fees are clearly collected at checkout, any customs charges assessed at or before delivery are the responsibility of the recipient.

What This Means for U.S. Customers

Not every order will necessarily be charged additional fees. However, some U.S. orders may be assessed import-related charges before or at the time of delivery.

If your order is affected, your shipping carrier may contact you directly to collect payment before releasing or delivering your package.

Sensidel does not benefit from these fees and does not control whether they are applied.

Why This May Happen

U.S. customs rules, tariff classifications, and import-fee requirements can vary depending on the product, shipment value, country of origin, carrier, and applicable regulations.

As a result, products shipped from Canada to the United States may be subject to duties, tariffs, taxes, brokerage fees, carrier fees, or other import-related charges, even when the order value is relatively low.

Skincare and cosmetic products may be classified under U.S. customs categories for beauty or skin-care preparations, and applicable charges may vary depending on the specific product and shipment details.

Before You Place Your Order

By placing an order for delivery to the United States, you acknowledge that:

  • Your order may be subject to customs duties, tariffs, taxes, brokerage fees, carrier fees, or other import-related charges.
  • These charges are not included in your order total unless clearly stated at checkout.
  • You are responsible for paying any import-related charges assessed by U.S. Customs, the carrier, or another applicable authority.
  • Refusal to pay customs or carrier fees may result in your package being delayed, returned, abandoned, or destroyed by the carrier or customs authority.
  • Sensidel is not responsible for delays, non-delivery, returns, abandonment, or additional charges caused by unpaid customs or carrier fees.

If You Have Questions Before Ordering

If you are concerned about potential customs charges, please contact us before placing your order. We are happy to help where we can, but we cannot guarantee whether U.S. Customs, the carrier, or another authority will assess duties, taxes, or fees on a particular shipment.

Thank You for Your Understanding

We know unexpected customs or carrier fees can be frustrating. We wish we had more control over these charges, but they are determined outside of Sensidel.

Thank you for supporting a small Canadian skincare business. We truly appreciate your patience, understanding, and support.
